VICTORIAN OPAQUE GLASS KEROSENE TABLE LAMP, opaque white/milk glass with stenciled and polychrome-enamel decoration, cylindrical form with floral decoration, stamped metal shell-motif foot, brass collar. Fitted with a modern burner shell that was once electrified. Topped with an opaque white/milk glass ball shade with floral and country scene with kids sitting on a fence. Maker unverified. Late 19th/early 20th century. 16" HOA, 8 1/4" H to top of collar, 6" SQ. base. Shade: 7 3/8" H, 3 7/8" D fitter.
Undamaged. Shade with expected light roughness to the fitter and top rim, as made.
Provenance: Property deaccessioned by The Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, to benefit the collections fund.
